Dharamshala is the second winter capital of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and a municipal corporation in Kangra district. It also serves as the district headquarters. It was formerly known as Bhagsu. The Dalai Lama’s residence and the headquarters of the Central Tibetan Administration (the Tibetan government in exile) are in Dharamshala. Dharamshala is 18 kilometers from Kangra.
Arrive at Pathankot/ Chakki Bank Railway Station. (90 Km, 3 Hrs) or Gaggal Airport (21 Km, 1 Hr). Transfer by road to Upper Dharamshala.

This hill station is the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama and the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. The town has a large Tibetan refugee settlement and numerous monks in their flowing maroon robes can be seen in their traditional clothes walking past serenely turning their prayer wheels. In the evening visit Dalai Lama’s main temple, “Namgyal Monastery” at McLeodganj. It houses giant stucco statues of the Buddha, Avalokiteshwara and Padmasambhava. Also visit St. John church, situated in the wilderness just one km from McLeodganj, this church is one of the most poignant memories of the British Raj. Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast we will take you to explore the beautiful Kangra Valley. Visit Chinmaya Tapovan- a modern temple on Vedanta, Norbuilinga- a tibetian cultural centre, Brijeshwari temple at Kangra, Chamunda Devi Temple, Andretta Art Gallery and Palampur. Palampur , tea capital of Northern India is surrounded on all sides by tea gardens and pine forests before they merge with the Dhauladhar ranges.. Return back to Dharamshala. In the evening enjoy shopping of Tibetan handicrafts. Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast drive to Dalhousie (130 Km, 4 Hrs). Dalhousie is beautiful hill station named after name of Lord Dalhousie, a British Viceroy of Raj Era. Dalhousie is thickly wooded hill station and situated at height of 7500 ft above sea level. Arrive Dalhousie , check into the hotel. In the evening visit Mall road, Satdhara (seven springs), Gandhi chowk/ Subash baoli. Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast depart for Khajjiar (just 22 Km). Khajjiar is known as mini Switzerland of India. Enroute visit Dain kund, Kalatop wildlife sanctuary. Visit Khajjiar lake, Khajjinag temple, Shiva temple, enjoy pony riding and adventure sports (at your own cost) at Khajjiar lake. Return to Dalhousie. In the evening visit Panjpulla (five bridges), a beautiful picnic spot just outside the town. Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Pathankot / Chakki Bank railway station or Gaggal Airport for your onward journey or journey back to home
